Africa, Europe and Asia share a  history in regards to long distance trade. Not only were goods and products shared but ideas and religious concepts as well. These routes became a cultural hot spot for new concepts.

Europe, Asia, and Africa have a history with long distance trade. Not only were new goods and products shared, but these routes also became the cultural hot spot for religious diffusion and the spread of ideas.

Beliefs and religions were often exposed to changes as they were exposed to different people and groups. Some leaders interpreted concepts differently, subjecting the ideas to change or additions. A big exaple in history is the translation of Buddhist beliefs to those of Chinese.

The city of Jerusalem is the home of three major religious woks architecture, each belonging to Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, respectively. It serves as an example of hoe early contact led to the cultural synthesis seen now.

Islam became one of the dominant religions in Africa. Mansa Musa became a key component in the spread of Islam as he began one of the first pilgrimages in Africa and constructed multiple mosques along the way. Many Africans however chose to mix their traditional African beliefs along with Islam.
